GroundSwell Partners with Gamification Pioneers The Octalysis Group
The group creates meaningful engagement through human focused design principles.
WASHOUGAL, Wash. (March 28th, 2018) – GroundSwell today announced a partnership with The Octalysis Group, a company that helps businesses engage their customers through human focused design or “gamification”.
Founded by author and gamification thought leader Yu-kai Chou, The Octalysis Group identified 8 Core Drives that motivate people to take action. Through a collaborative design process they help companies incorporate the behavioral motivators that govern human interaction into products, services, and the workplace.
The company will help apply these gamification principles to GroundSwell’s shop-and-support card programs in an effort to create a remarkable experience for their card holders and partners.

“We’ve always been keen on delivering a delightful user experience for our customers. After reading Yu-kai’s book, Actionable Gamification, I knew we had to work with his team. We want to be very intentional about how people feel when interacting with us – The Octalysis Group gave us a system and vocabulary for making it happen. ”
